The Hair

With everything being outside and dealing with the Florida humidity, I think my best option is an up-do.  I don't want a traditional up-do though because I feel like they can get too prom-looking, so I want a low up-do with some volume or side swept bangs.  Since orchids are a flower we're using throughout the wedding and one of my favorite flowers in general, I want one or two in my hair that matches my bouquet.

Hair Accessories

I bought these small hair pins, the big silk and lace flower and another hair flower below from Etsy AND also a silk cream cymbidium orchid clip.  I"m going to take them all to my hair trial and see which one I like best.

The Makeup

Nothing too drastic but not too natural either.

Using the second hair flower.  Eye lashes will be a little smaller and lips a little more defined.

The Jewels

Since my dress is halter and has a vintage feel to it, I think only a bracelet and some dangly earrings are necessary.  I want to stick with the same vintage feel that my dress and engagement ring have.

My actual jewelry!!

I got this bracelet from BridalBling on www.etsy.com.  It's even prettier in person.  The earrings I got for $15 from Loehmann's.  I was very proud of that purchase :)

The Shoes.

I have to wear flats because with any other shoe height, my feet peak out of my dress because of the length/my height.  It's been really hard to find any kind of dressy, cute flats that go with my dress.  But I think these might be ok- both from French Sole.  I need to try them on with my dress to see for sure.

My actual shoes!!

When I had my first dress fitting, she told me I needed around a one inch heel so that my dress doesn't drag. So I found these shoes and ordered them both, since my dress and I live in different states.  The first is Coloriffics Andie (1 inch heel) and the second is Coloriffics Carmen (1.5 inch heel).

It's Ivory silk clutch with blue lining.  I bought it from seller Yensew on etsy.com

My garter

I only got one because we are not doing a garter toss.  It's exactly like the one in the pic, except no blue ribbon.  I bought it from seller Gmarasa from etsy.com

Bridesmaid Dresses

These are the top three choices- but they'll be in plum color.  Melissa Sweet and Vineyard.  The first shot is taken while she's taking off her jacket, so it looks little weird, but it's definitely NOT a big bow on it or anything like that!

Update-- The in-state Bridesmaids and my MOH tried on the dresses and they decided on the first dress.  Melissa Sweet MS301 in Fig.  It looks really good on everyone, is a really nice, lightweight silk material and everyone loves the pockets!

This is color of the bridesmaid dresses.

I like how the darkness of the dresses stands out against the lightness of the gown.

Flower girl

This is my adorable niece in her flower girl dress.  It's ivory to match mine, though it's hard to tell in the pics.

The Dress

My consultant picked it out as soon as I told her what I wanted and didn't want.  I knew it was "the one" as soon as I put it on.  It was the first store we went to and the third dress I tried on.  It's going to be in ivory though.  I did not think picking out a dress would be so easy!
